Klaus Dahl - The Message of Jesus

The reason I have created this web site is that I want to help spread the Gospel about Jesus Christ. I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. I have studied theology for several years, but have studied the Bible even longer.

In my spare time I am a (unpaid) pastor for a small, relatively new, Lutheran church in the Aarhus-area in Denmark.

With the content on this site I want to encourage and edify other Christians with the same encouragement and the same message that has helped me so much personally.

So many Christians today seem to have become discouraged and fearful due to the pressures from the non-Christian world. It is not easy to be a Christian today. I know, in one sense it has never been easy, and it never will be. But in many ways it has become even more difficult today.

You may have heard it said that it is not difficult to live the Christian life. No, it is impossible! And that is actually a very good point. Just as we cannot save ourselves, we cannot, by ourselves, live the Christian life. It is simply impossible to do so. But, says the apostle Paul, Jesus lives in every true Christian:

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 ESV)

It is impossible for us, for you and me, to live the Christian life, but Jesus lives in us when we believe in him as our Savior. This is the ultimate reason why you, as a Christian, do not need to be discouraged or fearful. If you do not believe in Jesus, you have every reason to be discouraged and fearful. But if, by faith in Jesus Christ, you belong to him, then you have every reason to stand firm, full of courage and optimism – not because of yourself or any human being, but because of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

In Jesus Christ,
Klaus Dahl
